The Greppone Mazzi villa stands at the centre of the estate, surrounded by a garden and two farmhouses.
The villa features a traditional mullioned window with two lights and an impressive, double-arched terrace that overlooks the vineyards.
The Clementi's original coat of arms was a "blue door with three columns, with a comet above it." It can still be seen on the entrance to the villa.
In the villa courtyard stands a charming well which dates back to the same era as the villa itself. The top piece of the well is wrought in iron and features a star symbol.
This star can also be found on the label of the Greppone Mazzi estate wines.
The estate ageing cellar lies underneath the villa. |
