The Greppone Mazzi Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2000 wins the SANGIOVESE THOPHY and a Gold Medal in the prestigious wine competition   "International Wine and Spiris Competition" 2006 in London. A truly noteworthy result for this reserve Brunello, produced with the best grapes from the hilly vineyards of Ruffino's Greppone Mazzi Estate in Montalcino

THE 5 GRAPPOLI (5 BUNCHES) FOR THE 

ROMITORIO DI SANTEDAME 2003

The 2003 Romitorio di Santedame, produced with a blend of Colorino and Merlot,  will hit the market within the next few months. This vintage has just been awarded the " 5 grappoli" (maximum score) by the Italian Sommelier Association in their annual guide "DUEMILAVINI." THE POGGIO CASCIANO ESTATE OPENS TO THE PUBLIC

In 2007 wine lovers from all over the world will for the first time have the chance to visit Ruffino, as we open the doors to our beautiful Poggio Casciano Estate. This estate, which features an elegant Renaissance villa and an antique ageing cellar, is located in the Chianti area, near the town of San Polo in Chianti, just a few kilometres outside of Florence.

Poggio Casciano is the centre of Ruffino's PR activities as well as the head quarter for Ruffino's agronomic team, which conducts many of its grape experiments and researches in the vineyards on the rolling hills around the estate villa.

November 2006: In Italy the 2005 Libaio is awarded an Oscar for its extraordinary price/quality ratio by the Gambero Rosso wine guide "'Almanacco del Berebene 2007."
