The Poggio Casciano Estate has 6 hectares of olive trees which produce the fruit for this extraordinary, dense and flavourful extra virgin olive oil, a CRU so to speak.
On the Poggio Casciano Estate vineyards and olive growers characterize the landscape of soft, green hills, a charming artificial lake, traditional stone-built country houses and tall, majestic cypress trees.
The quality of the extra virgin olive oil, as well as of the other exclusive, natural agricultural products produced on the Poggio Casciano Estate, is quaranteed by the genuinity of this territory, by its origin, by its secular traditions, and by the scrupulous attention to detail which characterizes the production process.
The olive grove is nourished and meticulously cared for during the entire vegetative cycle and the olives are rigorously hand picked and selected for the special selection which is the extra virgin olive oil signed Poggio Casciano.
This extra virgin olive oil carries the appellation "I.G.P." The classification IGP (Indicazione Geografica Protetta) was constituted in 1992 and guarantees the production of an extra virgin olive oil which has a certain origin and respects certain characteristics of quality.
