Laudemio di Santedame
Olio Extra Vergine di Oliva
The term LAUDEMIO refers to the cultivation carried out in Italy in ancient times. This name meant "the tribute due to the Lord", which intended of course that it was the best part of the product. This is also the name which, when recalling traditions of nobleness and prestige, was given to the Consorzio degli Olivicoltori della Toscana Centrale (Central Tuscany Olive Growers' Consortium). Established at the end of 1990, the members of this consortium decided to call themselves Olivanti, an ancient term for "olive growers".
Laudemio di Santedame Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced from olives grown on the Santedame estate. The nature of the land and its exposure and climate, with the olive groves that face south-west where they are exposed to the north-westerly Maestrale ("mistral wind"), and where they benefit from the remarkable temperature differences between summer and winter, encourage a balanced development of olive trees, and make the Santedame Estate especially suitable for high-quality olive growing.
Laudemio di Santedame's fine quality is reflected in its extremely high dietetic value and extraordinary organoleptic personality which makes this extra virgin olive oil precious, first-rate, and suitable for extremely refined gastronomic uses.
